Kung Pao Tofu with Vegetables



1 red pepper

1/2 red onion

1 medium zucchini

4 large carrots

3 celery stalks

1 cup snow peas

1/2 cup of broccoli & cauliflower

1 package of tofu


1/3 soy sauce or tamari

1 teaspoon of syrup or sugar

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

2 crushed garlic cloves

*add lime to taste*

It should taste tangy sweet.

Pre-made Kung Pao or Teriyaki sauces work as well.


Heat pan add 1-2 tablespoons of oil

Add sliced tofu (press it for a half hour) Should be drained of liquid

Brown tofu and flip them carefully for several minutes

Lower to medium heat and add sauce mixture

After washed and sliced, add all vegetables

Sitr everything but be careful with the tofu, so it doesn’t crumble

Low heat and cover for an additional 5-10 minutes, depending on the level of vegetable crunchiness you prefer.

Serving size: 4

*Dish goes well with rice
